Take the stress out of getting a dress!
Good morning everybody!
Below is a blog post we’ve been allowed to use, courtesy of Hannah at Brides of Yorkshire – she has recommended us as a place to buy your wedding dress!
“To many, finding THE wedding dress is one of the most important parts of your big day. It can also be super stressful too, though. First, we suggest setting a budget. If you decide how much you want to/can afford to spend, then you won’t be disappointed if you find a dress that’s waaaay out of your price range. Then, with around a year to go, you can start shopping! Make sure you arrange appointments in advance as they usually book up fast.
You want to be buying your dress, or at least putting a deposit down, at least eight months before your wedding day. It may seem fairly early to be buying a dress months before, but it gives you time to find accessories to match and to have any alterations you may need closer to the day. We know a lot of you brides have a fitness plan in the run up to your big day, so alterations may be necessary!
Re-try your dress on around three weeks before, just to make sure it still fits perfectly, as this still gives you a bit of time to alter the dress if (like I would) you’ve eaten far too many ‘stress’ doughnuts. Any excuse right?
Things such as your venue, theme and transport can influence your dress. For example, you need to be able to fit into your vehicle! So maybe a huge meringue dress for your VW Camper isn’t the best idea. Is your venue outdoors? Maybe rethink that long train with a woodland floor. Just make sure you do some research to help in finding the style of dress that’s right for you. Head to our Pinterest for some ideas to get you started…
We have also collected some of our favourite Yorkshire bridal shops for you, so you can start booking your appointments in now! These ladies are all very experienced and friendly, so you’ll be in good hands. Which dress will YOU say yes to?!
If you’re looking for a dress in the Leeds area, you HAVE to visit Precious Bridal. Stockists of Eliis Bridals, True Bride, Nicky Flynn, Chloe Bridals and preferred suppliers of Oulton Hall and Hornington Manor – you’re in good hands. You can expect a warm, friendly welcome and with dresses ranging from £777 to £1,500, there’s something to suit everyone’s budget. Looking for something more bespoke? Don’t worry – they’ve got that covered too! They have recently introduced designer Deisy Couture. So hurry and make your appointment here! ”
